  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Appropriately licensed for the position
  • Experienced teacher (at least one year) that seeks to teach in a progressive school 
  • Able to teach children across differences of ability, class, ethnicity, and belief
  • Able to teach collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and students
  • Experience with Responsive Classroom and Reading/Writing Workshop is a plus
  • ​Experience or willingness to teach a multi-age classroom

A School for Community Learning teacher:

  • Is experienced in providing students with highly effective and innovative literacy and math instruction
  • Is willing to plan and implement project-based and service learning work with students
