Each year at our Curricular Summit, we invite community members, families and students to discuss the social issues and happenings that matter most in our city. Our staff uses this input to create a compelling question that our students study all year. This year, our students are studying the question:
What does it mean to be a mindful contributor to my communities?
This question guides the projects and learning that students do and the classroom discussions that they have. It also guides the work that adults do together. Stay tuned for future posts sharing how each class is making meaning from this powerful question.
